My personal apologies for that one. A recent server migration left the
Wiki and all its useful info on this subject crippled. Work continues
to resurrect it.
I personally use my MessagePad 2100 mostly for tracking personal
finances (using PocketMoney;
<http://www.catamount.com/NewtonApps/PocketMoney3.html>), notes,
address book, and calendar (using the built in apps), and an alarm
clock (using Adam Tow's Alarm Clock;
<http://www.tow.com/software/newton.shtml>). I also send notes,
address book, and calendar entries back and forth from my Mac OS X
computers using Eckhart Köppen's Blunt Bluetooth drivers
(<http://40hz.org/wiki/index.php/Blunt>), IC/VC
(<http://40hz.org/wiki/index.php/IC/VC>), and a PICO Bluetooth card
purchased from Adriano Angelillis (<http://notwen.com/>).
There are 802.11b WiFi drivers
(<http://www.ff.iij4u.or.jp/~ngc/eng/newtwave.htm>) and a whole slew
of software on the working side of the UNNA web site
(<http://unna.org/>).
I think the real question is: what do you want to do with the Newton?
