I once had a problem with the screen alignment being off slightly, I
tried taking it apart and thoroughly cleaning the touch screen and the
surrounding bezel as well as trimming away some of the bezel material
as Doug Parker has suggested. In mu case no luck. It slowly grew
worse until I replaced it.
Another condition that I have seen is what I think of as true
jaggies , the line being drawn seems to jump dramatically around the
contact point making HW impossible.
the cure for both was replacement. Sorry
