[NTLK] [OT] loan of Vista Home Premium disk

Hi there,

I appreciate this is well off topic but it is out of desperation that I
am asking.

Could anyone on the list in the UK lend me a copy of Microsoft Vista
Home Premium Edition.

The reason I ask is as follows:

I have recently bought a laptop for my wife as a present on eBay and the
operating system was knotty and terribly slow.
I contacted Acer and paid £50 for recovery disks which took 5 weeks to
arrive.
Unfortunately I think there is something wrong with the disks as it
hangs part way through the process at the same point each time I have tried.

I already have the serial number on the underneath of the machine and
only need to loan the disks for one evening.

I would of course pay postage each way and comit to replace if lost.

I'm loathed to pay out more on this unless I really have to.

The present has kind of lost its edge so far.
