again thanks first.

On my Newton CD are the "old" diskimages.
They are to mount first and then you can run the installer from the first disk.

That's what I can do but when the installer starts to install (after
the first screens of the installer I have the old black+white circle
turning without ending.

The NCU looked like the (OS-X) NCX as I remember and I guess, it is
Newton Connection Kit that I meant with version 2.0 (NCK2) as Jon
corrected me. It has only three buttons, not six.
I can't have a look on it just now, but I'm quite sure I describe it right.

Sonny, do you still have your NCU-version which run under 9.2.2 and
could you send it to me?

Now I'm bemused again: Why doesn't my version run or isn't to install?
