So I've heard though I am not sure what the issue is here. Each
router is new or less than a year old and as far as I know I am not
using Appletalk. The failure occurred before I got an IP address.
The reason I bought a new router when I already had one is to take
advantage of T-mobile at home for unlimited calling from home. Better
Newton access was an unexpected fringe.
The reason I posted is that others have occasionally had difficulty
with ethernet connections and many have spent many hair pulling hours
trying to get connected when the real problem was the router.
