Success - sort of.

After downloading Escale and getting the same problem I decided to try a
different USB port. I had been using a port on the POWERED USB hub
because all 3 ports on my iMac are full. So I unplugged the keyboard
from the iMac and plugged in the Keyspan adapter. I then tried to
connect using Escale and it worked! Of course I now had to plug the
keyboard into the hub, but fortunately that worked also.

So now I will start playing around with it to see what happens.

Thank you, Marcus, Scott and Woody for your help. I'll be coming back
for more assistance later.

Oh, I installed the Dock TCP?IP 1.0 package from Escale and the
Ser115200 package from NCX, but I see that NCX has a Dock TCP 1.2
package. Is this an update of the package from Escale or a different one?
