[NTLK] Patch Confirmation?

I for one have yet to install the patch on my 2100 because I still find the
instructions at this page confusing:

http://40hz.org/Pages/Patch%2071J059

Think about it. We all want to know the exact steps on how to do this
properly, right? So while reading through that web page our eyes jump down
to where it says "The installation steps are:". We then read the first step
where it says, "For MP2000..." And if you are like me and have a 2100, your
eyes then search down the page for a reference to the "MP2100" but you don't
find that until you get inside the Troubleshooting section! So the reader
is left confused. You are wondering if the author meant for us to
understand MP2000 = MP2100, or something else!

If that wasn't confusing enough, now consider this...

My 2100 shows "2.1 (717260)-1" as well. (Extras > i > Memory Info) I also
see Fix2010 in my Internal memory. I never installed any patches myself. I
am quite certain they were already installed when I purchased my 2100 off
EBAY a few years ago.

So in light of "717260" showing up in Memory Info, what do I need to do
specifically to apply the 71J059 patch?

And which specific files do I download from Source Forge?:

Patch_eMate-73J186.zip
Patch_D-74J185.zip
PatchRemover-000000.zip
Patch-71J059.zip
TestPatch-717260.zip

Some serious hand-holding through this process would be greatly appreciated.
I am thoroughly confused right now.

Thank you,

James Wages
