Re: [NTLK] Desperately seeking connection (MessagePad 2100)

Today I wiped my second MP 2100 and started the installation of the
various packages needed for Internet access from scratch.

Then, using the newtenlightment.de information as a guide, I set all
the preferences.

I even changed my Airport Base Station settings to match those of the
newtenlightment instructions (Connect using PPP over Ethernet --
before had just Ethernet).

However, I am still unable to realise a connection. The one thing I am
unsure of the Primary DNS/Name Server Address setting in the MP
Internet Setup: this is clear enough in the newtenlightment page, as
that page includes the address in the Network setting shown for
Jaguar. Unfortunately, Tiger and Leopard Network windows are very
different, so I do not know where to find this address. If I look at
the DNS window of Network under Leopard, I see four addresses, one of
which (home) is greyed out. ANyway, I've tried them all!

I honestly do not know what else I can do, so I think I'mm put the
idea of again using the MP for sporadic connection to the Internet on
the back burner.

Thanks to all who have tried to help. Sorry I couldn't produce the
goods.

David
