Oh, Doug, if only ... *sniff* ... if only!

But I fear that he'll have to be dragged kicking and screaming from whatever
world he currently occupies in which people don't want a stylus-driven
device with brilliant HWR and all the other things that make it easy to use
the Newton, and into reality where what people don't want is a stylus-driven
device that has rubbish HWR and is unnecessary complicated and irrational.

How to accomplish that dragging is another matter.

Perhaps, if he were more aware of how much work has been done by NewtonTalk
already, just to keep the Newton going, and if he could read the ideas and
designs for upgrading it already created by folks here and posted here and
elsewhere, he might realize there's a serious market, and some serious ideas
for how to cash in on that market. I just don't know if he's able to have
that much respect for people like us, whom I suspect he regards as "a
minority of outsiders" and therefore not really having enough savvy or
market punch to tell him anything meaningful or useful.

Shalom.
Christian
