Yep, and to good result! Just this week, I got a complaint from my
electric company that I hadn't paid my December bill, which I had paid
_early_. I wrote on the letter, and used my fax/printer to fax it and
my paid stub to them. A minute later, I called, and told the lady I
had just faxed her something. What I faxed wasn't very legible, but
she immediately changed her attitude when she knew I had sent a fax,
and bent over backward to figure out where they had made the mistake,
and quickly apologized. I have had this happen in the past, but never
thought to fax them my bill. Trust me, it made a _big_ difference in
how she treated me. Faxes are still useful. It's a shame they aren't
so common as before, because the Newton makes an excellent fax
platform. Its only weakness is getting outgoing faxes into it (no
scanning capability). ;-)
