Well, I have never seen an eMate charge LED that was burned out. The
most
likely case is that there is something wrong with _charging_ the
battery.

This might be a problem with the eMate, but most likely it is a
problem with
the battery pack.

The good news is that it is fairly easy to shed light on this. Simply
install
NewtTest (available in the software section of the site in the
signature) and
check what the "Battery" subtest shows.

I would expect that "Charge State" will never reach "Trickle charge
continuous",
which is when the eMate considers the battery charged and switch the
LED from
orange to green.
