I bought my 2100 the day it went on sale, with a credit card.
I believe I am still paying it off....

Whoa that would make it like a $3000 Newton by now.
I had the Apple loan for $1100 for a fully desked out Newton 2000 in
1997. I think I had that paid off by 2000.
What killed me was I paid the Newton off, called Newton to take a loan
on a iMac and by then I was married "I'm sorry, but we show you have too
much debt."
"But I just SUCCESSFULLY paid off a Apple loan... ahead of schedule."
"Sorry Sir."
That was when I went to the darkside for a while and tried the "PC"
world for two years.
