Because the listserv software rejected one of my messages as too long
but didn't say which one it was, I'm having to resend the messages of
the last day or so.

Don't forget Michael "The Diesel" Spindler. He continued the downward
track started by Skulley, and Amelio continued it afterward. While
Skulley may have given the green light to the Newton, his overall impact
was disastrous for Apple.
