I'll be getting the 3G S this Friday. I will report here my findings.

I am upgrading from the original iPhone 2G, so the upgrade, for me, should be substantial. The one good thing about the 2G is the battery life: much better than the 3G. Now that battery life has been improved, I don't expect as good battery life on the 3G S compared to the 2G, but I am certain it won't be that noticeable, like it has been between the 3G and 2G.

The biggest challenge for me with the iPhone is the input. It is hard to input information into it.

I personally prefer WMA (compression and quality, the best of both worlds; go ahead flame me, Mac users) and AIFF. Why AIFF, you ask, when it's so bloated? Well, in my band we record songs with old Digidesign Sound Tools connected to a Mac IIx and then we transfer the recordings via Zip disks. The quality is amazing, better than anything else.
