If you require your serial port for keyboard, printer, fax or NCU this
board should do the job.
For my connection needs I use ethernet which places no pressure on the
interconnect port and allows me to print via LPR driver to printer
connected to my desktop computer, connect via NCX to install, backup
and move information to my Mac and connect to web pages to install
software.
I only use the dongle for occasional keyboard use.
Unfortunately no ethernet enabled NCU was ever developed for windows,
but it is possible to host a private web server to install packages
and to use NewtsCape to save html formatted documents to Newtworks on
your Windows and probably Linux computer.
