Re: [NTLK] a dumb question

I believe it was nsync I was using with the text plug in too. I used it to import all my newt notes to text files and then imported the text files to stickies on osx (and then I used pockeymac for blackberry to import the stickies to my blackberry). I never tried exporting from stickies to text files (which I believe stickies can do) or exporting text files to the Newton, but the import with nsync worked great. Probably using text files and folders on your computer would be the easiest way to go. When I was looking for a personal database app nothing fit my needs so I just ended up using text files and spotlight tags, sometimes the simplest route is the best. Also there is a great context menu plugin I use called nufile that lets you have text file templetes available in the context menu. I use it to create new text files on the desktop then simply rename them and drop them where ever you want, for my personal database I just use one folder for all text/documents but you'd probably want a "send to Newton" fo
lder that you could set to sync.

It sounds like you have been looking at nSync.

There is the 'TextSync' plugin for syncing to a folder of text files.

The JournalSync plugin is for syncing with MacJournal. MacJournal is
now published by Mariner Software as a commercial product, but the last
freeware version is still available at the original author's site:

I only tested this briefly several years ago, and don't recall how
successful it was. Maybe someone else can chime in.
