I did work briefly for the spun out Newton company, after ATG died, but barely long enough to get spun back into Apple and then reassigned to turn the Print Recognizer into Inkwell, when the Newton was killed. All in all that recognition technology, in one form or another, from early research to demonstrations on hacked up Mac Duos to multiple abortive pen-based Mac products to the Newton to Inkwell for OS 9 (never released) to Inkwell for OS X was 12 years of my life. Phew.

Wow. I'm seeing your name everywhere on HWR/Newton sites now. You're
like a celebrity in the Newton world. heh. So I have to ask, do you
use a Newton today? ;)
