Bull Dooky! I am 57 years old and I am a professional programmer. I write
code for a living. I had one class on programming back in 1971 when Fortran
was still programmed on punch cards and you had to wait an hour to see your
print out of results. Everything else I taught myself. I have written in
Fortran, Watfor, Watfive, Basic, Assembly on two different CPU's, Fourth,
Visual Basic, NSBasic Newton and Palm, Newton Script, an I am currently
learning ANSI C; all of this and various database systems, dbase, Q4,
Microsoft SQL and a main frame system called BITS. You want to program? Sit
down with a book and go for it. You have questions? Send me an Email. If I
can't answer it I know people that have programmed even more than me. You're
not too old till you're dead. Oh, and I love Tarzan books, almost as much as
his Mars (Barsoom) series.

I have NS Basic and a book 'Programming For the Newton'. I also have
the NTK somewhere. I am familiar with programming and have had a class
in C++ a few years ago that I aced but I am not a programmer. I have
never done it for a living and have been told I'm too old to ever get
good at it.
