Matt & Tony: Thanks! Very helpful.

I've set up <http://code.google.com/p/newtspeed/> and done some more
research (incl. re-reading up on NTK & NewtonScript). I've ordered a
GlobalSat BC-337 Compact Flash GPS receiver--would've loved a Haicom
HI-303III or HI-305III, but couldn't find any--and will start testing
when it gets here.

In the meantime, I'll try to stub out the Newtspeed app and get the
display working. I'll be basing the serial communication on
<http://www.unna.org/unna/apple/development/Examples/SampleCodeMac//Basic%20Serial-1.sea.hqx>
w/the -18003 exception tip from
<http://www.mactech.com/articles/mactech/Vol.13/13.06/Jun97-NewtonQandA/index.html>.

I'll probably have tons of development questions.

Morgan
