That's interesting.  Some of their winning points I don't completely agree with, but interesting just the same. Since about mid-2005, I've been looking for a replacement for our Newton, which we use at the race track for taking notes about the event and the car while we run.  I'm hoping the recently-purchased iPad will be close, but it's tough to beat handwriting recognition and a screen you can view indirect sunlight are tough features to beat (and, apparently, tough to duplicate).  The iPhone is just too small for that use.
