[NTLK] Installing the internal Emate memory expansion

Hmm, when I install the card and apply power (via battery pack) I hear a
soft beep beep......beep beep. And the screen backlight flashing with
each beep.  Take out the battery/power, unplug the memory expansion,
apply power and all is well.

I assume this means that the card is dead and not passing a diagnostic?
 The contacts looked clean and unmarred.
