Only last week they discovered that the carriages were horseless because the
horses had been used in the beef burgers:

This affected certain well-known supermarkets of varying status as well as
certain fast-food joints.  Yet another reason never to eat what you can't
recognize.  

Not that there's anything wrong with eating horse, if you know that's what
you're paying for and if it's been prepared for human consumption -- and
it's what you want.
