[NTLK] Difficulty with a 2100 cycling on and off

It's probably not your power supply. There is a small electronic component within the MP 2x00 that causes the reaction you've described after it has failed.

NewtonTalk veteran Frank Gruendel can be a big help with this. He has written about what could be the likely cause at http://www.pda-soft.de/en/stories/1771/max1771.html ...and in a very entertaining fashion as well.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND that there could be other things causing your problem--but this seems to be the likely culprit. Just like when you call the auto mechanic/veterinarian/doctor, describe the problem, and ask what they think it could be, the response is always usually something like "You'll have to bring it in/come on in so we can take a look at it/you."
