[NTLK] 2015 eMate Connectivity?

I am thinking of (wishing for?) a piece of hardware/software that will transfer my stored eMate word processing files to something like DropBox/Evernote/etc and be done with it. I don't want to run a VM, but another cable (I have lost all of mine a long time ago and IIRC they were a pain and PC speed dependent).

I am aware that the eMate doesn't do SSL natively and etc. I am hoping someone can point me to something or 2 I can buy so I can take my ruggedized word processing workhorse anywhere and actually get documents in/out of modern storage system with minimal fuss.

I don't have any Macs on my desktop.

I wonder if there is something I can do with a Raspberry Pi to act as a kind of "bridge box"?

Hmmmm...
