Congratulations!

I do with all due respect think that you are mistaken. The power switch of a
130 is soldered to the mainboard, and you won't be able to see the contacts
or the spring unless this thing is badly broken. The little L-shaped plastic
thing that operates the switch is often the reason for the power button's
appearing a bit unwilling. If the mainboard isn't properly seated when
reassembling a 120, the plastic thingie won't properly move, and people tend
to think in this case that the switch is the problem.

I think that what you mean by "copper contacts" is actually the two pieces
that act as a spring for the lid release mechanism?

Yep. I do both. But I won't have a chance to take care of this for the next
three weeks.

Cheers

Frank

PS Be aware that whatever you spend on a 130 would be a waste of time and
money unless you (have someone) take care of the problems I describe here:

If you don't, your 130 will play dead out of the blue when it is least
convenient. No, your Newton can not possibly be the exception to the rule.
There are no exceptions :-)
