Yes, it should work well. Probably at 80% or so of the original speed.

Everything is on GitHUB now. The site looks intimidating because it is a site for insane software developers only, but it does have something like a wiki:

You probably want an Android install package as well. Someone (probably me) will need to send you that, unless you want to build one on your own... .
