[NTLK] flickering backlight Newton 130

I have two Newton 130 (German) in good condition. But they are only seldom in use now. I used one of them nearly every day in those days. Both of them developed a flickering backlight at approximately the same time. It is hardly possible to turn the light on at all. That means, the light is off and sometimes flashes. Is there anything I could do?
