Thunderbird can import/convert Outlook or Outlook Express folders/messages.  This is what I did years ago.  Nice aspects of Thunderbird:
Open Source
Multiplatform (Windows, MacOS, Linux)
Works well (or at least I have been using it for almost two decades without any issue).

There is also a portable version in case one didn't want to install it to convert one mail folder.

And I agree with you Frank, we should remove the email addresses and IP's before posting such an archive.  Granted most people may not care, but that is not everyone.  I know I wouldn't want mine posted for bot harvesters to grab.
