Matthias,

As an option you could try placing in the readme file a link to your
page on a donation collection website. Most people seem to use ko-fi,
and it looks like they don't really watch if you buy coffee or
something more fun with the money people send you :-)

Patreon could also be an option to make things more regular, but
surely would require a bigger user-base to get anywhere.
