You start with a character stats screen where you can re-roll your attributes before you start hackin' and slashin' your way through the dungeon of doom.

He responded and told me he was unable to recover the Zip disk that had the original source for the project, but he appreciated the flashback. He also mentioned that he was totally fine with someone hacking the game if anybody wanted to give that a shot to bypass the registration code. He even asked me to let him know if anyone was ever successful!

Ah NewtHack, I think that was the first game I played back on my MP120 (2.0). Loved it back then and still do. I also got my key shortly after I got it, I think it was also the first Newt software I bought. There is a few keys floating around. There is a key generator around as well I came across a few years back. I kept it just in case something happened and it didn't take my code anymore. Sad Christopher Dopp lost the zip disk with it and doesn't mind if someone hacks it. But I would still send him the $20. I am sure his eyes would get wide heh.
