Poor Roger.
To open the 2000, proceed as following: (you need two x-screw-drivers)
(a) remove all cards, the pen & the battery pack
(b) remove the four screws outside & open it from the battery pack as
described in Pix Solutions web site
(c) unclip all wires: loudspeaker, microphone (the grey one), power button,
another one & the little white comb glued on the Arm chip
(d) remove the pen holder (three screws)
(e) remove four more screws, one on the battery holder, two black one on
the opposite side of the pen holder, and one between the pen holder and the
battery holder
(f) unclip the battery holder's cover, remove the battery spring (look at
how it is installed, it is not very easy to install again)
(g) unclip the motherboard: there is a clip between cards holes
(h) remove the mother board: the problem comes from the connectors
(i) remove the two screws in the battery holder with the small screw-driver
& the four screws all around. Note where they are.
The little plastic thing that seems to come from underneath is the
touchscreen's connector
(j) remove any screen protector such as barrier (they will fall otherwise)
(k) finaly remove the last part, starting from the top. You can now see the
screen totally.
I haven't been any further.
