I didn't see this actually covered in the FAQ, though there is a phantom
reference to: "cf How can I tell my Newton to read books out loud?"

assuming you've got Macintalk and SpeakText extensions installed on NOS 2.1,
two possibilities I'm aware of:
- HTMList extension. (I think this shouldn't actually require Newt's Cape
itself to be installed). it adds "text routing" commands to books, e.g.,
Mail, Beam, Speak.
