The combination I use for small on screen replacement keyboards is
Writer's Keyboard from Arnold Kim , for an actual smaller typing
keyboard, and LeapNKeyboards from Way Wong , which gives you minimal
tap access to typewriter, numeric, time/date, and phone keyboards. In
addition it gives you access to Styles, User Dictionary, and PunctPad
(also from Way Wong) if you have it installed. The combination of all
these is easy to access and extremely handy IMHO.
