I know this asked often, but I am stuck and at wits end.
I just can't get my computer to "talk" with my Newton. Tonight, I had access
to a Mac and it was SWEET! It just loaded up instantly!! This PC is driving
me CRAZY! Since Dec. 98, I have not had regular access to my Newton's files.
I have been trying to connect my Newton to a PC off and on for 8 months.
I beleive I have the right version of NCU,1.0a?
I believe I have the right cable...Din8 to DB9. I just made it this evening
(I should have bought it because it took so long...maybe it isn't
right?!?!).
But the Newton just will not link. I keep trying all of the connect options.
What option am I supposed to use? Serial? Serial 2400? etc...
Is there any thing else I could be doing wrong? I will buy a cable if I need
to, I just hate to spend the money and find out there is something else
wrong.
