I recommend WorksWrite (it is free, afaik) instead, which makes works behave

The following standard recognition features are supported:
- Text handwriting recognition
- Single character overwrite
- Double tap for the word list (spell check and ink versions)
- Punctuation popup with an extra keyboard icon by tapping on the caret
- Horizontal line to insert a page break
Requires Newton 2.1 Operating System.
