In principal, yes. More or less. Make sure, though, that
a) - is on the connector shield, + is on the inside
b) The adapter has at least 5 watts
c) The adapter will never ever, even for a fraction of a second, put
out a voltage higher than 7.5 volts. Many unregulated power supplies
can't guarantee that.
