WC turns the MP2k into a powerful scientific calculator with graphing
capabilities. But there is more: One can buy the Math Library and the
Random Lib in order to have extended math capabilities. That is e.g.
symbolic differentiation or integration. In WorksCalc you might write:
d x^n / dx and the result calculated by WC and MathLib is: (x^(n-1))*n
or
d sin(x) / dx -> cos(x)
If the above examples are expressed in equations like y(x) = f(x) then
you'll be able to plot the function as a graph. If you have NSscribe
loaded you might execute all MathLib calculations at e.g. Notes or
within a Works text. Then the expression has to be preceded by a keyword
like figure and the assistant will take over the expression and fill in
the result afterwards.
