This is jphan from holland,
I had the same thing , but mine "died" while bringing up the ethernet.
After that it was completely dead, I removed everything including the
batterypack.
And plugged in the ac-adapter, very strange it popped on after 30
seconds.......
I still have "something" every now and while.
Maybe we both have to check our version

I switch on my 2100 this morning and downloaded mail as usual.
On return to it I found it had restarted and that the card had not
loaded.
I ejected the card (no response from the Newton) and re-inserted
card.
It then shut down completely and has remained that way resisting all
attempts to restart with or without cards.
Thank you for any help you can offer
