Yes. The charging curve is quite different, and LiIon
batts have a tendency to react quite angry to wrong
charging. They might even decide to leave this unfriendly
world by exploding. Ask Apple, they have ample experience
in this field from one of their powerbook series...
Also, LiIon's are severely harmed by deep discharging, much
more than NiMH's or NiCad's.
If you want to use them, your only chance would be to charge
them in an external charger. However, considering the price
of both the batt's and a sophisticated charger, you'd probably
be better off using NiMH's.
