Laurent -
Thanks I needed that info. Now, for my idea: I found a source with 512k SRAM
cards. I am buying 2 of them. One for my OMP, the other as an emergency
Backup Card. It's like an emergency Boot disk, in a way. If you were to
crack your screen or lose your stylus or whatever the case may be and need
to backup the Newton, there is a package called DataRescue which simply
opens the Connection slip and awaits a connection (I think it forces serial
I'll test it out in a min)... I can install this app on the card, write
protect it, and then keep it with me in the event I need to use it to backup
the Newton... If anyone is interested in having a backup card like this let
me know. I will get the cards and install the package (freeware) and send it
to you for $13 (cst of card + shipping)... I'll test this FIRST but if
anyone is interested and these cards work (Don't see why not they are only
512k, tho) then let me know!
