I think he means the Farallon EtherWave Adapter that is basically a
LocalTalk-to-Ethernet adapter. It plugs into a serial port on one side, and
has an EtherWave dogle on the other. Pretty nifty.

No, the eMate does not have NIE built in. If you do a brainwipe on an eMate,
it'll be in factory-default state, just like any other Newton. Except the
eMate has NewtonWorks as the backdrop by default.
