It is not a bad idea to erase the internet DNS cash every now and then,
particularly if you are changing ISPs a lot or just if the Newton is acting
funny with internet applications. I do it when ever I am not happy with my
Newton's internet functions.
I give the credit of this tip to the fine people of EarthLink, some time
ago, a year after Apple froze the Newton, Earthlink changed there IP
address, and the Newton can no longer retrieve web pages, mail was ok. I
called Earthlink tech support, and to my good surprise they connected me to
a person who actually knew about Newtons, he suggested erasing the DNS
cache, and all was fine.
