Have you guys seen the Japanese site that can paint your Newton (or palm, or
powerbook, cellphone etc) to look like it's made of wood?

I emailed the guy just to see how much it would cost for a Newton, since he
didn't have it listed on his prices page. Apparently it costs about $250
(28,000 yen) for the painting, and another $90 (10,000 yen) or so to
disassemble and reassemble the device, to strip off the coating on the
Newton's case so the paint will adhere properly, and for shipping (although
that probably only covers shipping within Japan). A little expensive, but
cool. Of course it does sort of look like the side of a station wagon,
but...
