Hello folks,
I received my newton 120 the other day from Apexjr.com (sold out now). It
is a new unit with no documentaion. Just the Newton. I went to put in the
stylus from my 110 and it didnt fit. Looking down the hole, there was
something there blocking it. I took it apart to see what the deal was...
Well, with all of the unit disassembled, the screen unit had a small tab
protruding from the center top. The plastic screen holder also had a plastic
ledge ( the best way to describe it) where the tab the comes off of the
screen rests on. all of this is the stylus tube of the unit.
I have read were someone had one with wires coming out of the top and
couldnt insert their stylus, there is the ribbon cable that you can see on
my 110 but the 120 i have has a plastic peice that is molded in such a way
that it is not possible to get the stylus in. I sanded down the ledge and
duct taped the screen tab down. and only now can I get my stylus in but not
very easily.
Has anyone else had this expirience or dealt with an Apexjr newton?
Could this be a 130 screen in a 120 case with out the back lighting??
