Actually the Pippin shipped in the US in 1996 and about 50k were sold here.
The Norwegians and Australians got a boat load of them and use them still in
hotels as consoles. There are add on disk and network drives for these
things and games are available, but in japanese.. the US games are all in
the hands of collectors. I picked one up at action for $50 when nobody else
wanted it... and after playing the hell out of it... (All original in the
box with the modem and tons of games, keypad.. wireless controllers.. etc...
sold it on eBay.) The truly rare ones are white.. the normal ones are black
and should be purcahsed for $400-600.
