NTLK More on syncing

With all of this talk on possible new syncing technologies, I downloaded and
read the vCard specification, which isn't too complex at all. It seemed to
me that using vCard and vCalendar would be the most likely way to sync from
the Newton to any recent desktop PIM.

I started messing around with the Windows 2000 address book, noted that it
could export records to vCards (and it actually conforms to the standard, a
first for Microsoft), and even wrote a vCard for myself in a text editor and
imported it into the Address book. Importing the card into the address
book, the application detects changes and automatically updates the record.

So it seemed to me that being able to dump all of Names to vCards would be
useful, so I started writing it into my NewtDump utility. I should have
something to show for by tomorrow, and then (time permitting) I'll start on
vCalendar. And maybe after that I'll start on synching back to the Newton.

So, where are all you people who said that you'd pay for a sync util? :D
