Hmmm. I don't know.
If Apple is planning on rolling some Newton technology into their
rumored Apple/Palm unit, they probably aren't going to sell it at any
price. Especially when you consider that the 'reason for the impending
death of Apple' last week was that their 'wireless strategy is nowhere
to be seen'. BTW: This week, it's 'Net appliances from Intel. Go figure.
Other issues at play, discussed to death on the list, are the fact that
Apple is merely a licensee of many of the technologies Newton is built
upon. The cursive HWR, for instance.
Personally, I'd rather see Apple go forward and build 'on the shoulders'
of Newton to make an ever BETTER device...
