Did you read my previous email that I sent to you on the subject of your
24MB card? If you did a hard reset with the card in, it is likely
irreparably damaged (i.e., fried, toasted, etc.). Pretec, at one time, had
a dire warning posted on their site about this.
Did you try the reset-with-packages-disabled, open the prefs roll, and then
insert the card? If you did, and the Newton does not recognize it, it is
gone. Eject and discard.
The 12v/5v cards seem to be much more robust than the 5v/5v cards in this
regard. I've heard about a *lot* of 5v/5v cards getting fried in this
manner, but not many, if any, of the 12v/5v cards. If you have to replace
it, you might want to go that way.
You might try asking Pretec if they would replace it.

I purchased six months ago a "Pretec Flash
Memory Card" (24Mb/5v/5v) for my Newton
MP2100.
It went well till now, when I tried to delete a corrupted storage file.

Newton resets (hard too) but with no success. I tried the card on other
Newtons (130 and 2100) and on a PowerBook too, but it won't work (the

How can I do? Not only for my data but mainly for my money ($237 plus
expedition)!
Please, may you be so kind to tell me what I have to do?
