it is possible on my ump2k, but i cannot remember if it worked on my
130. NIE 2.0 localtalk module supports it, i think.

i used the Photonics (long gone) Cooperative IR and a Cayman Gatorbox
to network about 6 newts, via infrared localtalk, to the Gatorbox
which understood the MacIP stuff and did the wrapping. it was very
cool at the time to be web surfing on my PDA while walking around the
building.
