support Palm and WinCE, of course, and not Newton...Maybe we can change
that.

As a handheld computer user, I am absolutely thrilled with your service!
This is exactly the kind of thing which will make handheld computing the
"killer app" of the 2000's. And to offer it free of charge is even better.
Thanks for bringing this exciting power to handheld computer users
everywhere.
Except me.
You've taken the obvious route and supported the main handheld computers out
there, and I don't blame you. But I've been a handheld user for years and I
don't seem to have any way to access your service. I'm not using some
ancient, hopelessly outdated device like a Zoomer. I'm using an extremely
powerful Newton 2100 which can surf the net with ease. Nor am I alone out
here in the handheld community. I am one of an active, dedicated, vibrant
community of handheld users who would be quite a fine asset to your user
base. Newton users aren't derelicts left by the side of the road, dumped in
the gutter of the information superhighway. They're doctors, lawyers,
educators, ministers, and college professors. They're informed, intelligent,
and they spend money. But since you don't directly support every device
(even though I noticed on your website that your goal IS to bring this power
to all handhelds), we'll have to work together to make all those Newton 2100
owners into your customers. There is no doubt that it can be done, and very
easily. We don't even need you to write code for us, since our Newtons can
already do all the things you'd need them to do in order to use your
service. We just need to be provided with links for the various channels.
Ideally, we'd download them from your site directly to our handhelds, since
we would want to be full members and enjoy the convenience of your website.
But if that wouldn't be possible, you could set up a page with links, all
properly credited etc., specifically denoted as AvantGo for Newton links.
You would gain an excellent group of customers and we would gain the support
of one of the cutting edge companies in the handheld information universe.
Please give this some thought. We Newton users are extremely loyal and
supportive to companies who show us some respect and support. We will make
it worth your while, believe me. Let me know how we can work together to
make Newton support one more feather in your company's cap.
